At the much loved aquarium you can learn, explore and interact with thousands of marine life over 11 amazing and unique zones.

Book Underwater World General AdmissionTidal Touchpool

Roll up your sleeves and let your fingers do the swimming at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast’s touchpool. Made to simulate the tidal rock pool areas on our coast lines, you’ll be able to interact and touch marine animals like sea stars, sea urchins and see cucumbers.

Seahorse Sanctuary

Be entranced by the delicate movements of one of the most amazing marine creatures in the world. Seahorses perform mesmerising courtship dances and are particularly known for the unusual fact that it’s the males of the species that carries the eggs in their belly until birth.

Underwater World, MooloolabaPacific Reef

Explore the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef without leaving the mainland. The Pacific Reef Tank has on display a beautiful mix of coral, clownfish, crayfish, anemones, clams and other marine life to showcase a snippet of Australia’s World Heritage listed Marine Park.

Coastal Wreck

The newest zone to SeaLife Sunshine Coast, Coastal Wreck is home to over 10 species of fish swimming around a shipwreck environment. Discover Moray eels, octopus, lionfish and a range of other tropical fish.

Shark Shipwreck

Take an ocean walkthrough to see 8 species of shark lurking overhead. This is one of the park’s most popular features and also offers a swim with the sharks experience.

Coral Cove

Further along the ocean walkthrough you’ll come to some of the most colourful fish you’ve ever seen. This tropical paradise his home to the likes of Napoleon Wrasse and the much loved Spots and Stripes Puffer. There are even touchscreens available where you can find out what these tropical fish enjoy eating and some truly unique features you probably didn’t know.

Bay of Rays

A collection of rays will glide overhead in the Bay of Rays, showing you their happy smiles. See if you can spot the difference between spotty leopard rays, crownose rays and sting rays.

Underwater World Shark Dive MooloolabaTurtle Temple

The Turtle Temple is home to a number of rehabilitated turtles who are building up their strength before their release back into the ocean. Many of these peaceful creatures have unfortunately been injured as a result of human related impacts, such as boat strikes, entanglements in fishing equipment and eating rubbish.

Billabongs

Billabong is an Australian word for a waterhole, many of which are home to an amazing array of plant, fish and animal life. SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast’s Billabongs are home to over 20 species including snails, saw fish, Barramundi, tree frogs, Parana and Pacu fish.

Freshwater Streams

Here you’ll find everything freshwater just waiting for you to explore. Say hello to giant barramundi and even the Freshwater Crocodile affectionately named Marge.

Seal Island

Make sure you stop by to enjoy the seal presentation, a favourite for the whole family. The park’s resident seals include Australian Sea Lions, Australian Fur Seals and New Zealand Fur Seals, all swimming around and putting on a cheeky show for you. You can even come and say hello at the end of the presentation and have your photo taken with your new friends.

Jellyfish Kingdom

SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is home to the largest collection of jellyfish anywhere in Australia. These fascinating, colourful creatures have haunted the oceans with their ghost like movements for over 650 million years. Come along and learn more about these marine animals that are older than the dinosaurs.

Just one hour north of Brisbane, SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is ideally located along the Wharf Mooloolaba, within easy walking distance to many beachside accommodation providers in Mooloolaba and across the road from The Surf Club Mooloolaba - in the heart of the seaside suburb! There are nearby stops with buses that can transport you between the train station with ease - Landsborough Station is the ideal stop for anyone coming from Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
