2014 Stockland Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run
The 2014 Stockland Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run is one of the State's most scenic running events. Entries open March 2014.
The 10km Foreshore Run, which hugs the tranquil Pumicestone Passage from Golden to Bulcock beaches, takes entrants through the spectacular scenery at Kings and Shelly beaches before climbing over the Moffat Headland to the finish line. There is also a testing 3km Fun Run for those who prefer a shorter distance. For families the 3km Family Walk over Moffat Headland is a great way to start a Sunday Morning.
The event's picturesque scenery and the family friendly atmosphere has seen the event continue to grow in popularity each year since it's inception in 2005.
The event is open to both male and female entrants, serious runners or those looking for a fun family walk. The event's prize pool consists of $500 for first prize, $200 for second prize and $100 for third prize for both male and female overall winner in the 10km Run. Plus all entrants go into the running to win some great prizes!
Entry in the 10km Foreshore Run is $35. The 10km entry fee includes a race singlet for all runners who register on-line before the race day. Entry in the 3km Fun Run is $7.50 for primary school students and $15 for entrants in the open category. Families can enter up to 6 family members and friends in the Family Walk for just $22.
All funds raised from the Fun Run will benefit the Parents and Friends Association of local primary school, Our Lady of the Rosary.
